Holocene

A geological era extending back to 10,000 years ago. It was the last interglacial period of the quaternary, the most recent geological period of the Cenozoic era (66 million years ago to the present day), which is itself the most recent geological era after the Paleozoic era (541 million to 252 million years ago) and the Mesozoic era (252 million years to 66 million years ago).
