Beach Boys

An American surf group active from the beginning of the 1960s. Their music, initially hedonistic, boasting the merits of bohemian life in the sun, a mix of sex, surfing and drugs, took a vertiginous curve at the moment they collided with the Beatles. In response to the English musicians studio experiments, Brian Wilson, the group’s singer and leader, locked himself away to produce one of the first progressive rock albums, Pet Sounds.
